If we could give this residence a 10 we would. Fabulous location within a few blocks of the Sonoma Square. Quiet neighborhood and away from the action of the square while only a few minutes walk from the activity. Plenty of walkable restaurants. The cottage was so clean and fully furnished. Great suggestions for local sites, wineries, restaurants, etc. Easy parking at the cottage. In past visits to Sonoma we always stayed at hotels and the Cottage afforded us more space and privacy for the same price. Fully stocked kitchen although we would not cook with so many great restaurants in the area but if you want to you could. This will be our go to place to stay when we return to Sonoma. Excellent wifi and cable tv if you do have time to relax. Very quaint outside patio that we did not have an opportunity to use .

Beautiful Cottage!

The place was just perfect for a couple to explore the town of Sonoma while there for a wedding. The location is perhaps the best part, just a mere few blocks from the plaza. Place was clean and adequately stocked. Only con I would say is the living space isn't great for relaxing with just a small love seat and a single chair, but that's pretty minor with all the things to do around town.

Just as advertised-a perfect couples retreat in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the square. Home is well maintained, nicely decorated and very clean.

Highly recommend staying at Jane's Cottage. The location was walkable to town and the cottage was adorable. It was very easy to communicate and get some questions answered. Phyllis met us at Staples so we could use the Wine Passport for 2 for 1 tastings before we even checked in.

This was my first Airbnb experience, but my friend I traveled with has stayed at many. She noted that this was, by far, the best Airbnb she has ever seen. Not only was it impeccably clean, but also stocked with anything you could possibly need. It is in a cute, quiet neighborhood, that is walking distance to Sonoma square and driving distance to just about anywhere in Sonoma or Napa. The only call out I have is that if you are tall (which neither of us are) you may have trouble in the shower, as the shower head was unusually low - but the water pressure was great. I can’t wait to return and would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area.

This is a lovely property, beautifully cared for and well stocked. Everything is in excellent condition. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, not far from the main square in Sonoma. The hosts are very welcoming and accessible - we thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and would recommend it highly.

We could not have asked for a better house for our honeymoon stay. Perfect location for traveling to Napa and Sonoma Valley wineries & San Francisco. 10 minute walk to Sonoma plaza. They allowed us to check in earlier in order to accommodate a change in our flight. They added extra, thoughtful touches along with a welcome basket that included a bottle of wine. Check out was as easy as it gets. We would definitely stay here again during our next visit and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit the area. Thank you so much!

If you’re looking for a couple’s getaway that’s cute, clean, and super convenient in Sonoma, this is a great spot! Located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood, the house is about a 5-7 minute walk to Sonoma Plaza, which we loved. Great amenities (washer, dryer, towels, private outdoor space. Definitely recommend!

Stayed here before my wedding and it was a great home base to have! Perfect for a couple, it has a full kitchen with all the amenities you need. Some very nice touches like including a welcome basket and coffee. Location can't be beat with a 5-minute walk to Sonoma Plaza. Off-street parking in the driveway is also a nice feature. The one small thing I didn't love was that they have you sign an additional rules agreement outside of Airbnb's terms. It's all standard stuff so nothing unexpected, but I'd never seen that before for an Airbnb so I was initially unsure about it, but it all worked out.

Usually an excellent location means a less than excellent home. Here you get both an unbeatable location and an excellent home. The home is charming and spotless. The neighborhood is quiet and very peaceful. Hunt is a terrific host, who provided excellent recommendations for wine tours and the like. I should mention that he is very responsive.

I loved my stay at Hunt’s place. The location is perfect- once I arrived, I didn’t move my car for 3 days and just walked every where. There are great restaurants, wine rooms and shops all within walking distance. My favorite part, however, was just how peaceful the neighborhood was. There is a stillness there that refreshed my soul. I went to recharge myself after being burned out and left fully rested and energized. Hunt was a great host as well - lovely welcome basket and recommendations on local activities. I would definitely come back!

My fiancé and I stayed here for a long weekend and could not have enjoyed our time more. The cottage is clean and extremely cozy. The management company does a great job with directions and we appreciated the small touches like coffee in the morning and toiletries in the shower. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

We were totally burned out with the hotels in Sonoma. Way overpriced, lousy beds, noisy and expensive. So we tried Janes cottage and loved it. Every detail was covered and the location rocks. It’s even $100/night cheaper than the Renaissance.

This cottage was the perfect place to stay during our time in Sonoma. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the owners have thought of all the little details to make it feel like home.

Lovely private little home. Absolutely PRISTINE condition. Decorated to perfection. Comfy bed, luxury bedding. Well appointed kitchen. We cooked our own breakfast every morning and enjoyed it on the back patio while admiring the perfectly manicured landscaping. I seriously cannot imagine why anyone would choose to stay in a hotel if Jane’s cottage is available. It’s location is literally blocks from the Sonoma square. It was quiet, perfect, like a home away from home. Do it. Stay at Jane’s Sonoma Cottage. You will not be disappointed. (Tip: if you’re a foodie, go check out the Sonoma Market. It is the most luxurious grocery store I have ever seen!)

I ran the Napa to Sonoma 1/2 Marathon and the location of the cottage was so convenient to both catch the shuttle bus to the start in Napa and also to walk back from the finish line after party! It’s only a few blocks from Sonoma Plaza and so it walkable to the restaurants in downtown Sonoma. I also enjoyed sipping wine and reading out on the back patio while watching the hummingbirds come to feed in the flowering vines along the back fence.

This was our third stay at the Cottage. We always enjoy being so close to the square. The Cottage is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again!

We thought it would be too good to be true when we booked it but Janes Cottage was absolutely perfect in every way-amazing location, great amenities, super cute, private, exceptionally clean. We have no reason to book anywhere else next time we come to Sonoma!

We had an amazing time at Jane's Cottage, and we hope to come back very soon! It is thoughtfully appointed and very clean; it was perfect for my husband and me. The King bed is dreamy - I felt like I slept better than I ever have in any hotel/VRBO. The cottage is perfectly positioned only blocks off the square, we walked over almost every day. The property manager (Karen) was lovely, and assisted quickly and professionally with two special requests we had. The owners live next door, we met briefly and they made us feel very welcome. We stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed the home. It is very nicely appointed for two people. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace in living room, all you have to do is flip a switch. It was quite cold on nights and mornings (they do have a perfectly working furnace too). But the fireplace heats the living room very nicely. Kitchen is well equipped too. Just a very short walk into the historic plaza where there are all kinds of shops and restaurants. Sonoma is a wonderful place to visit and this home is very comfortable.

Jane's cottage is in a quite neighborhood easy walking distance to Sonoma Plaza. The unit is perfect for two people. All amenities are thoughtful and well appointed. We found the cottage spotlessly clean and the bed quite comfortable. Bryon, the property manager was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and responsive.

We loved this cottage. It's very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Everything we needed. Even super fast internet! It's on a very quiet street while still being just a couple of blocks off the historic town square.

I loved every moment of staying at this cottage. The location is absolutely perfect, just two blocks from the Sonoma plaza and a very beautiful walk on the way. The cottage itself is warm and inviting, with deep blues and awesome art work. I loved the fireplace, the full kitchen, washer and dryer, multiple luggage racks (woohoo), the outside patio, just everything really. My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful time and cannot thank the owner enough for keeping a clean, beautiful, quiet and comfy place!

This was one of the most pleasant places we've ever stayed at. Home is well kept and nicely decorated. Everything we needed was available. It's in a cute neighborhood about a 5 minute walk from downtown restaurants, stores, tasting rooms. We walked to the Sebastiani winery as well which was about a 10 minute walk away. We met the owner who was very pleasant and welcoming.

This cottage exceeded our expectations! Private, beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed, and all the amenities we could need. It was only a short walk to the Plaza which was really nice as well. Over the years, we've vacationed at innumerable hotels, inns, B&Bs and rentals. By far, Jane's Cottage is the best place we've ever stayed! Greeting us upon arrival, our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The cottage was perfect in every way: immaculate, beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, and all the essential amenities. Only a short 5 minute walk to downtown Sonoma square, the cottage is perfectly located for strolling the town, shopping, dining, and wine tasting. Also, the location is perfect for short drives all over Sonoma Valley and north to Healdsburg and Santa Rosa, across the mountain to Napa Valley, or south into the city. After long days of visiting wineries, breweries, and shops, returning "home" for a quiet evening on the shaded patio was a relaxing treat. Thank you for such a wonderful experience; we WILL visit again!

Jane's Sonoma Cottage was a perfect getaway and the location could not have been better. This was an anniversary trip for us, the first week of October 2016. We were able to walk for breakfast and dinner every day. Several in town wineries within walking distance. Neighborhood was quiet, the location cannot be beat, house is less than 2 blocks away from the square. Morning walks were perfect in the early morning hours. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back to this cottage!

Jane's Sonoma Cottage was a perfect place to spend a few days in Sonoma. The location is perfect. It was convenient to be able to walk to the square and enjoy the great restaurants and shops. We enjoyed Sonoma Grille the most. There is a Safeway and Whole Foods that are only a few minutes drive.

Customer service was excellent. The owners were responsive and very nice (we were lucky enough to meet Wendy and Bucky).

Amenities were nice and everything was very clean. Keurig coffee machine with plenty of options was a nice touch.

Jewel of a cottage in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, a short walk from Sonoma Square. The cottage outdoor area was small but heavenly. We recommend Sunflower Cafe above all. Most beautiful produce we ever saw at the Tuesday eve farmers market.

Everything about the cottage is lovely- from the kitchen supplies to the towels to the location. The property was clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. It has a nice little patio, too. It's on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the square in Sonoma. We highly recommend it.

We have, over the years, visited (at other places) and always enjoyed the charm of Sonoma, it's particular culture and the surrounding environment. With no disrespect to Heaven, we believe it safe to call this place, especially while ensconced in the Cottage's ultra clean coziness and sumptuousness planned down to every disparate detail, a tiny slice of Heaven.
The cottage design and layout has given my wife ideas for ways to improve our own home which will likely cost me an arm and a leg to maintain the peace.
The logistical attention to every single detail we could imagine was meticulously covered, and done so quite generously, with every room of the cottage spotless and finely appointed. Adding to the Sonoma charm were the pieces of local art, and various books and pamphlets detailing the history of 'Old Sonoma' which was fun to read.about.
We hope to return again and again to avail ourselves of this place's anachronistic, 'Old World' charm. Truly one of the nicest, most enjoyable places we have ever stayed at.

Jane's Cottage was more than we expected; so comfortable and well appointed. The owners provided instructions and suggestions. We enjoyed several of their favorites restaurants, all within walking distance of this nice property. We biked the Sonoma area in the am's and visited the local attractions in the afternoons. We had a perfect vacation and will return.

This little abode served my wife and me very well during our recent stay (July 2016). Upon our arrival we found it to be very clean and true to the description provided.

Among it's greatest assets are:
- Prime location, just a few blocks from the heart of downtown Sonoma, as well as a nice walking trail
- Very quiet and private; it is technically attached to a larger house, but don't worry about this, there's a garage between and we never saw or heard from the other residents.
- Nice little patio for relaxing in the late afternoon/evening
- Touchpad access, so no need to keep track of key(s)
- Washer/Dryer
- Quality bedding/linens/towels

Some suggests we would have for the owners include:
- A French press for coffee; yes the Keurig is convenient but the coffee it produces is mediocre, at best
- A small "bistro" table for outside, so a couple could actually sit and eat there (comfortably)
- Bath robes; would be a nice touch, a la fancy hotel
- Better water pressure and/or shower head; I know Californians are all about conserving water, which is great, but the flow from shower is just so wimpy!

Some suggestions for other visitors:
- El Dorado Kitchen (dinner)
- Basque Cafe (breakfast/coffee)
- Fairmont Inn (spa)

We had such a lovely stay at Jane's cottage celebrating our anniversary. The cottage is well equipped, extremely clean and in a lerfext location in Sonoma. We really appreciate the extra touches of coffee and the wine passport for the wineries in Sonoma. It was a great way to experience Wine country for our first time. We would love to come back someday!

Jane's cottage was a most enjoyable stay. It was very well appointed and everything worked. It had the best equipped and best provisioned kitchen we have ever seen in a rental. Our stay was very comfortable and the quality of everything provided was first rate. We would thoroughly recommend it for anyone Sonoma bound.

We loved the little garden and the interior of the home--the home was well appointed--you don't even need shampoo! Kitchen as also well stocked. Location/neighborhood was the best! Easy walk to great restaurants in Sonoma Square and the neighborhood was so quiet--I slept like a baby! Thanks for the wonderful 4 day weekend--we will visit again!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary staying in this perfect cottage. It's 2 blocks from the Sonoma square making it perfect to leave the car and walk to all the food, tastings and shops.

The cottage has it's own one car driveway, private yard and front door making it very private. It's a one-bedroom house separate from the main property it's on. It's very clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. The neighborhood is full of historic homes and amazing architecture. We enjoyed taking a different route into town each time to admire homes in the neighborhood.

We will be back!

A great home base for exploring wine country and the surrounding countryside.

The cottage was easy to find, and communication with Bryon was very timely.
Perfect walking distance to Sonoma Square, two blocks and you are there.
Many great restaurants, bakery's & shopping all right there.
The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The cottage was very clean and everything worked perfectly.
There was even coffee & tea k-cups provided...very classy touch
Everything is tastefully decorated in the cottage, many books and pamphlets were provided so that you can plan your day's adventure!
I would recommend this place to anyone and would go back again!

This cottage is a gold mine! We felt completely at home. It could not have been more well-appointed, down to the coffee and biscottis in the kitchen. It was like new and very clean. It was so close the the square that we walked up every day. We will definitely come back,

This home was so clean, nice, and comfortable it was practically brand new. The home was fully furnished with everything you could need for a wine country get away. There was an entire day and half that we didn't even have to get in the car because the location was convenient. We would definitely return.

We were looking for a cozy cottage to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the Sonoma area. Jane's Cottage was the perfect choice! newly decorated, clean, beautiful patio and all within a few block's from Sonoma Square. We spent mornings and evenings on the patio and enjoyed the ability to stay in and cook. We'll be back for sure!
